REQUEST: EVENTS SUBMISSIONS FOR SWAY MAGAZINE July 23, 2007
Some of you may not be aware that I no longer write for AMÖI magazine.
I’ve been invited to return to SWAY magazine to once again write the Event Listing.
I am currently seeking submissions of upcoming events for the FALL issue of SWAY. I’m
looking for information on Black Cultural related events taking place in the GTA between SEPT 12 – DEC 12, 2007 . Submissions should be for events pertaining to any of the following groups: Caribbean, African, or Afro-Canadian in a variety of areas from entertainment, education and community to professional related events.
As the Event Listing covers events that take place months in advance, I understand that you may NOT have ALL the details finalized for your event. If your event is an annual or major event and you do not have ALL of the details confirmed………..as long as you have the name, dates, and venue confirmed, y ou can still send me a general overview of the event. We will direct the public to your website or organization for further details so that you do not miss the opportunity to post your event.
If you would like to submit event information for an upcoming event during the above noted period, pls do so by forwarding the following details:
- Dates
- Overview (A brief description explaining the type of event, what it’s
about or for, any activities, and who may be hosting, performing, etc)
- Location
- Ticket price (If available)
- Contact info (Website address, email and/or tel no.)
- HI RESOLUTION picture in JPEG format
