New Business Development Advertising Sales Representative
Responsible for solely new, inactive business, this position is required to consistently meet and exceed sales goals by prospecting, performing cold calls, delivering sales presentations and utilizing effective sales techniques in order to influence potential advertisers.
Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Maintaining and developing relationships with clients
- Negotiating the terms of an agreement and closing sales
- Effectively represent Special Projects to ensure their profitability
- Gathering market and customer information and developing needs analysis
- Gaining a clear understanding of customers’ businesses and requirements
- Communicating new opportunities, information and feedback gathered through field activity to appropriate company staff to remain and gain further competitive advantage
- Reviewing own sales performance, aiming to meet or exceed targets
- Identifying and resolving client concerns
Required skills:
- The ability and desire to sell
- Knowledge of advertising and sales promotion techniques
- Excellent communication skills
- A high degree of self-motivation and ambition
- Proven business to business outside sales experience (2+ years)
- Strong prospecting, presentation and selling skills
- Proficient internet and computer skills
- An awareness and knowledge of competitive media with a willingness and ability to take necessary steps to minimize their market share within London and area
- A combination of the completion of a Bachelor’s Degree and/or three to five years of sales or marketing experience
- Possession of a valid drivers license and automotive vehicle
