Michael Richards “Kramer’s” Racist Tirade – Caught on Tape

20 Nov

Michael Richards exploded in anger as he performed at a famous L.A. comedy club last Friday, hurling racial epithets that left the crowd gasping, and TMZ has obtained exclusive video of the ugly incident.

Richards, who played the wacky Cosmo Kramer on the hit TV show “Seinfeld,” appeared onstage at the Laugh Factory in West Hollywood. Kyle Doss, an African-American, told TMZ he and some friends were in the cheap seats and he was playfully heckling Richards when suddenly, the comedian lost it.

The camera started rolling just as Richards began his attack, screaming at one of the men, “Fifty years ago we’d have you upside down with a f***ing fork up your ass.”

Richards continued, “You can talk, you can talk, you’re brave now motherf**ker. Throw his ass out. He’s a nigger! He’s a nigger! He’s a nigger! A nigger, look, there’s a nigger!”

The crowd is visibly and audibly confused and upset. Richards responds by saying, “They’re going to arrest me for calling a black man a nigger.”

One of the men who was the object of Richard’s tirade was outraged, shouting back “That’s un-f***ing called for, ain’t necessary.”

After the three-minute tirade, it appears the majority of the audience members got up and left in disgust.

Attempts to reach Richards’ reps were unsuccessful.

I just saw this video… and I was shocked to say the least.

I have watched Seinfeld for years and loved the show… However after seeing this video I do not know how I will be be able to look at it again.

    My 2 cents ~ Rico

Yup it’s him – It was allover CNN today. He was banned from performing at the Laugh factory and Jerry Seinfeld even issued a “statement” saying how sad it was.

But I did not hear anything on the evening news????

The guy definitely has a problem. But I suspect that he will not suffer any legal consequences because of his past fame and because of his religious affiliation. I use to think he was one of the funnier of the Seinfeld characters – but I too will probably see him as disgusting from no on. As I think of his character on Seinfeld as being “ballistic”, his real life persona now seems to be a match – but now a racist to boot! Yikes! Keep him away from me!
Prior to seeing the video, I pretty much dismissed it as an indiscretion – What a difference seeing the lunatic makes!

I saw the same situation in reverse recently at the Halarities Night club. The performer was a very high priced and well accomplished comedian, he had writen for the drew carry show as well as many other hit comedy series. A red neck white man kept hekling him saying very racest things to him. Now the comedian shot back with plenty of racist remarks of his own. But we didn’t see him on the morning news. Unfortunately in america we have these issues of racial and ethinic biggetry(sp?). But the standard is skewed when you hear a black person call a white man a cracker we dont make the same distinction as the reversal. Im not condoning or saying that Micheal Richards had any right to say what he did but he obviously lost his cool and started yelling the first thing that came into his head. He might even be some what racist but the fact that you have never heard or seen anything like this before from him leads me to believe that he is not and that this was a break in his self control. thats my 2 cents.

you should hear how a myspace artist used the tirade and apology in his song. It’s very well done. http://www.myspace.com/threefacesofman2
