Summary

Our client is recognised as the UK’s leading Performance Management and Business Intelligence consultancy with core business in consulting and training. They are also recognised as being the Platinum Partner for Business Objects.

An opportunity exists for a well organised and determined Business Development executive to join an existing team dedicated to finding new opportunities for specialised training and consulting services.

The role is mainly office-based so excellent communications (telephone and written) skills are essential. Aside from dealing with incoming enquiries, your primary goal will be to find new business opportunities through research and outbound activities. You will need to be able to think on your feet and discuss IT led opportunities with prospects at all levels.

Unlike most ‘outbound’ roles our client is NOT looking for 150 cold calls a day. It is a role that requires planning and research, in order to build an understanding of the organisations being targeted.

You will need the ability/experience to be able to converse with prospects at all levels, hence an interest in business would be a real advantage.

Ideal Candidate Requirements

•    Honest and Punctual
•    Have good strong clear oral and written skills
•    Be highly motivated and achieve sales driven with confidence
•    Good IT Awareness – Although training will be provided
•    Confident and dynamic, hungry to achieve results
•    Good team player and able to communicate effectively with all members of the team and management.
•    Have good commercial awareness
•    Experience of a CRM system
•    Be able to meet weekly targets
•    To assist in generating, qualifying new business leads for the sales team generated from
•    various campaigns including, business briefings, email and mail shots and cold calling possible new clients existing clients.
•    To make initial contact with the prospects by phone to identify the relevant decision makers and establish initial requirements.
•    To build a database of qualified decision makers.
•    To progress initial leads to the appointment stage.
•    London based or within commuting distance (1 hour max door to door)

Duties

•    Proactively seek new business opportunities through outbound telemarketing activities including regular communication with existing prospects and customers. This will comprise telephone campaigns, email shots, mailings, and attending conferences to network and further develop new business relationships.

•    Ensure that incoming enquiries are dealt with promptly.

•    Make the sales team aware of potential business opportunities.

•    Ensure the internal CRM system is updated with such opportunities

Experience

•    Must be Business Aware

•    1-2 years experience in Telemarketing in an internal IT related business preferably from a call centre background.

•    Must have desire to work in IT Environment

•    Comfortable with Excel/MS-Word

•    Lots of energy with ability to work with a small project team

•    Someone who can think laterally – someone who can identify an opportunity and shape the conversation accordingly

Package
OTE of around £30k made up of base salary and performance related bonus.
